And finally… bum’s rush

Beach authorities have revised public nudity rules to allow the display of “buttocks” after a concerned resident complained about lifeguard uniforms.

The resident wrote to the local authorities to complain that the female lifeguard bathing suits were “too skimpy and revealing”.

However, councillors in Carolina Beach, a coastal town in the US state of North Carolina, responded by revising the public nudity ordinance.

After receiving the complaint, “the town attorney realised that we may need to revisit the [public nudity] ordinance”, Councilwoman LeAnn Pierce told WECT.

The newly-revised rules allow for the display of buttocks but not the “pubic area, pubic hair, anus or vulva”.
