Andy Knox has been appointed principal solicitor at Lanarkshire Community Law Centre, a legal practice working in partnership with Citizens Advice Bureaux across North Lanarkshire.

The law centre provides advice and representation to people vulnerable to homelessness, unemployment, or generally facing financial or social distress.

The project undertakes advice and dispute resolution on behalf of the community in these fields and can provide expert representation in litigation.

Mr Knox told Scottish Legal News: “I am delighted to join this dynamic and innovative practice at a time when fiscal austerity and financial uncertainty surrounding Brexit are having a tangible negative impact on individuals and families working hard to make ends meet.

“I look forward to working in partnership with other advice agencies within North Lanarkshire to deliver targeted legal advice and representation where it is needed most, while implementing current resources and developing the law centre casework and litigation across a range of legal practice areas.”
