CMS Sleep in the Park raises £23,000

Colleagues at CMS Scotland are celebrating after generating thousands of pounds in donations for this year’s Sleep in the Park fund-raiser staged last Saturday.

As well as being a corporate sponsor for the event, around 60 colleagues from the firm’s Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen offices also took part, sleeping outside with thousands of others across Scotland to raise awareness and funds to help homeless people in Scotland. CMS has now raised a total of £23,470 in donations.

Sleep in the Park was organised by Social Bite, a social enterprise which is committed to ending homelessness in Scotland. The funds raised at this year’s event will support a number of initiatives including innovative programmes to prevent homelessness when people leave the care and prison systems.

Chris Rae, partner and head of CSR in Scotland for CMS, said: “We’re delighted with the great support we’ve had from both colleagues who participated in Sleep in the Park and all those who contributed to our fund-raising efforts.

“It was a humbling, but very positive experience which we were all extremely proud to be a part of. We are delighted with the sums raised which will support the great work of Social Bite in their goal of ending homelessness in Scotland.”
