Double promotion at TC Young

TC Young has announced that Alison Hempsey has been promoted from associate to partner, in its private client team, and that Marianne McJannett has been promoted to associate within its employment team.

Ms Hempsey has a particular interest in adult incapacity law and is a member of the Law Society’s mental health and disability sub-committee. Over the past few years, she has worked closely with partner Adrian Ward on adult incapacity matters and regularly provides training and advice on the subject.

Ms McJannett joined TC Young in 2013 and has worked with registered social landlords, the third sector and commercial organisations, as well as individuals seeking employment law advice. She has developed the firm’s employment law service and has been promoted to associate in recognition of her success in this area.

TC Young is a member of United Employment Lawyers, a unique nationwide network of lawyers and Ms McJannett frequently speaks at their networking events, as well as providing training and updates on employment law.

TC Young’s managing partner, Andrew Cowan, said: “Alison and Marianne are valued members of the firm. They are both experienced and highly capable lawyers whose contribution has been critical as the firm has grown and as we continue to enhance our client services.”
