Expert panel to argue need for public inquiry into undercover policing

The Scottish Legal Action Group is holding an event to discuss the need for a public inquiry into undercover policing in Scotland this month.

The event is sponsored by Neil Findlay MSP & Liam McArthur MSP at the Smith Room in the Scottish Parliament.

An expert panel will discuss the legal and political context of the current impasse and reflect on the injustice that arises for those subject to the practice in Scotland.

The panel includes:

  • Paul Heron, solicitor and founding member of the Public Interest Law Centre, London.
  • Dr Nick McKerrell, lecturer in law at Glasgow Caledonian University.
  • Eamon Keane (chair), solicitor and convenor of the Scottish Legal Action Group.

If you would like to attend the event on 26 March 2019 at 18:00 – 20:00, please RSVP by 21 March 2019 to ehkeane@gmail.com.

The Scottish Legal Action Group is an independent charity that seeks to promote access to justice in Scotland.
