Glasgow School of Law to host Human Rights Act event

The University of Glasgow School of Law is hosting the Scotland event of the Independent Human Rights Act Review Roadshow next week.

The Independent Human Rights Act Review (IHRAR), launched in December 2020 and has been established to examine the framework of the Human Rights Act 1998.

The event will be chaired by Professor Jane Mair, head of the School of Law. It will start with a discussion led by Professor Nicole Busby and Professor Jim Murdoch from the university, in conjunction with Sir Peter Gross, Lisa Giovannetti QC and Professor Tom Mullen from the panel, on the background and context of the HRA and its role within the legal system.
