Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP has announced a number of internal promotions.

Paul Adams, JP Campbell and Alan Bauchop have each been promoted to senior associate.

Mr Adams joined WJM’s commercial property team at the start of the year from another Inverness firm. He previously worked as a solicitor for the Highland Council, dealing with property and planning matters throughout the Highlands.

Paul is recommended by the Legal 500 for his commercial property work and has a wealth of property and planning experience.

JP Campbell also joined WJM at the start of 2018. He has strong commercial experience, and started life as a corporate insolvency specialist in a large Edinburgh firm, and then had a change of career to become a private client solicitor in Inverness.

JP is uniquely qualified to advise business families on succession objectives and estate & IHT planning, as well as providing general private client advice.

Alan Bauchop joined WJM in 2013. Specialising in commercial property and commercial securities, he works for some of the firm’s larger clients on sales and purchases of property, leasing transactions, and securities work. He also provides expert commercial property support to the firm’s corporate team in their transactions, and has over 30 years of experience on which other teams in the firm regularly draw.

In addition, Graham Adams (residential property) has been promoted to legal director and Karen Crothers (private client), Fiona Kempsell (residential property) and Stephen Grant (corporate) have all been promoted to associate.

Managing partner Fraser Gillies said: “These promotions are all very well earned. We place significant importance on our developing talent within the firm and I’m delighted to see Paul, JP, Alan, Graham, Fiona, Karen and Stephen all progressing up through the firm.

“WJM is in a period of growth and each of these promotions will strengthen our offering in key areas of practice”.
