Lawyers of Tomorrow – Samantha Whyte
I graduated from the University of Glasgow this year with the diploma in professional legal practice, before which I obtained a 2:1 LLB (Hons) from Glasgow Caledonian University.
During my studies, I was appointed office manager of Glasgow Caledonian University Law Clinic and, within this period, we won the Public Services Award of the Year 2018. Presently, I am undertaking an internship within a family law firm in Glasgow.
Throughout this time, I have gained a broad range of experiences enabling me to develop strong interpersonal skills and build good rapport with a diverse range of individuals.
Over the past seven years, I have assisted in the management of our family multi-award-winning business. I have also gained an understanding of business structure, financial liabilities and time management, especially during the current pandemic.
Given the opportunity, I would transfer these skills within a traineeship to become a competent and conscientious solicitor.
I am interested in practising in all areas of law but am particularly enthusiastic about criminal defence, family law, conveyancing and private client.
