Legal and police figures recognised in Queen’s Birthday Honours

Legal and police figures have been recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.

Professor Hector MacQueen FBA FRSE, of the University of Edinburgh, has been appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to legal scholarship.

Professor Lorne Crerar, Chairman of Harper Macleod, has been appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire for his contribution to “economic and community development”.

David James Reid Strang, QPM, lately HM Chief Inspector of Prisons for Scotland has been appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire for services to law and order.

Iona Sara McDonald, Senior Sheriff at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court, has been appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) For services to law and order.

Donald Ewen Dugald MacInnes Darroch, Special Constable, Police Scotland, has been appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to law and order on the Isle of Jura, Inner Hebrides.

Colin Dorrance, lately Sergeant, Police Scotland, has been appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire for services to law and order, the remembrance of Pan Am Flight 103 and charity.

Lynn Simpson associate, Shepherd and Wedderburn, Head Coach, Flyers Trampoline Club and Chair, Trampoline and Tumbling Technical Panel has been appointed Medallist of the Order of the British Empire for services to trampolining.
