McEwan Fraser celebrates double accreditation

McEwan_Fraser_LegalMcEwan Fraser Legal has received both Investors in People and Investors in Young People accreditation, the solicitor and estate agents firm has announced.

The firm, which has just been voted Best Estate Agency in Scotland for the third successive year by The Sunday Times, said they were “incredibly proud” of achieving the dual accreditation.

Investors in Young People (IIYP) is the only people management standard that focuses on an employer’s recruitment and retention of young people.

It was launched in July 2014 after a key recommendation from the Commission for Developing Scotland’s Young Workforce led by Sir Ian Wood, and is offered to all businesses throughout Scotland.

The accreditation exists to recognise and support organisations across Scotland who are employing young people.

Investors in People (IIP), meanwhile, illustrates the firm’s dedication to their employees and demonstrates a solid foundation of good practice which remains challenging and aspirational for many organisations.

Ken McEwan, CEO of the firm, said: “We are incredibly proud to have been accredited with both awards as we strongly believe that organisations succeed by realising the potential of their people and this accreditation signals that we are an organisation that puts people first.”

Peter Russian, chief executive of Investors in People Scotland, added: “I’m delighted that McEwan Fraser Legal have achieved IIYP and IIP accreditation.

“To see over 1,000 young people working in IIYP accredited organisations in such a short space since the launch date is testimony of the appeal, rigour and value that organisations across Scotland are putting on the award.

“We now have organisations accredited in nearly every geographical part of Scotland covering the private, public and third sector.”
