The Scottish Young Lawyers’ Association (SYLA) is hosting a “Beyond the Basics” webinar on the new jurisdictional rules that will apply to family law cases from 1 January 2021. The event will give attendees an overview of the following topics and offer practical insights on how the changes will impact family lawyers and their client.

The speakers are:

• Jennifer Maciver, Legal Director and Head of Family Law at Gillespie Macandrew LLP;
• Amy Donachie of Westwater Advocates; and
• Ashley McCann, Senior Solicitor at Gillespie Macandrew LLP.

Our speakers will round off the event with a discussion on the brave new world of family law post-Brexit as well as Q&A from attendees.
