Lindsays has rewarded five rising stars with promotion.

Two new partners have been appointed, along with a senior associate and two associates.

Lauren Pasi has become a partner in the firm’s personal injury team. Her performance has earned her another promotion, having been appointed as a senior associate in October last year.

Darren Leahy, meanwhile, has been appointed as partner in the commercial property team. He joined through the RSB Macdonald merger in July 2015 as a solicitor and was promoted to associate before becoming a senior associate in April 2018.

Both were congratulated on their appointments in a video conference with Lindsays managing partner, Alasdair Cummings, and chairman, Peter Tweedie. The firm is maintaining a full service to clients through remote working during the coronavirus pandemic.

In other appointments, Sharon Drysdale has been promoted to senior associate as part of the rural team; Kirsty Preston has been made an associate in the private client department, having joined the firm as a senior solicitor in June 2018; and Julie Malone has become associate in the residential property team. She first joined the firm as a solicitor in August 2015.

Mr Cummings said: “These promotions are not only testament to talent and hard work, but demonstrate the strength and depth of the people who are at the forefront of Lindsays’ offer to the people and businesses with whom we work.

“The fact that our two new partners have been able to climb the ranks following mergers is particularly pleasing, highlighting the strength and talent that these moves have brought to our business. We remain keen to pursue other merger opportunities; good people make good things happen.”

Mr Tweedie added: “We are delighted to make these promotions, which reflect not only our continued success but our commitment to recognise and reward excellence and hard work. The quality of our lawyers is absolutely key to our business, so we believe it’s important to invest in their careers by providing opportunities for progression and development at Lindsays.”
