Shepherd and Wedderburn has appointed Euan Murray as a partner in its construction and infrastructure team. He brings to the firm and its clients 16 years’ experience advising on the procurement, construction and operation of energy and infrastructure projects across the UK.

Mr Murray, who was previously a director at Shepherd and Wedderburn, re-joined the firm on 14 June. Clients have commended him in the Chambers and Partners independent legal directory as “technically excellent”, adding: “His knowledge, productivity and level of detail is impressive.”

Mr Murray, who is qualified in both Scotland and England and Wales, has advised a wide range of public and private sector clients on major construction and infrastructure projects throughout the UK.

He has particular expertise in the procurement, construction and operation of large-scale energy projects. His experience also covers sectors including housing, defence, waste, transport, health and education infrastructure projects and the outsourcing of services. In addition, he advises on structuring bespoke procurement solutions.

Andrew Blain, managing partner of Shepherd and Wedderburn, said: “We are pleased Euan is returning to Shepherd and Wedderburn, where his expertise in construction, infrastructure and procurement will be of benefit to clients active in every sector of the economy. His extensive experience supporting clients in the clean energy sector will be particularly sought after as we seek to stimulate a green recovery from the recession.”
