Yvonne Evans to raise money for Lawscot Foundation

A Dundee University law lecturer is running a 5k to raise money for a foundation that supports aspiring lawyers.
Yvonne Evans, a trustee of Lawscot Foundation, is in charge of admissions and widening participation at Dundee Law School.
She is running the Great Scottish Run 5k on 30th June in aid of the charity.
She said: “Lots of young people have the right stuff to become a solicitor. But some of them won’t make it, simply because they come from less advantaged backgrounds. We think that’s unacceptable – and bad for the diversity of our profession.
“That’s why we’ve set up the Lawscot Foundation. Please help us support bright young people to overcome financial disadvantage and embark on a legal career by making a donation, considering corporate sponsorship or becoming a mentor.”
