15 promotions at Lindsays as firm recognises talent

Four new partners are among 10 senior promotions that have taken effect at Lindsays.
Six other lawyers have also taken the step up to director among a total of 15 promotions announced across the partnership’s offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee and Perth.

Alastair Smith’s promotion to partner in the corporate and commercial team in Edinburgh highlights the firm’s commitment to ongoing professional development. He joined as a trainee 20 years ago and has been a director since 2021.
In the personal injury team, Glasgow-based Rachel Holt – who was made a senior associate just 12 months ago – takes the step up to partner. She joined Lindsays as a solicitor in 2018.
Edinburgh lawyer Gregor MacEwan becomes a partner in the dispute resolution and litigation department. He had been a senior associate since 2022, having joined the firm as a solicitor in 2013.
In Perth, Stephen O’Hare has been promoted to partner in the private client team. He joined Lindsays as an associate through its merger with Miller Hendry in May 2023 and was made a senior associate last year.

- Lewis Crofts, rural - land and business, Edinburgh
- Eilidh Robertson, rural - land and business, Edinburgh
- Lyndsey White, rural - land and business, Dundee
Elsewhere, Kathleen Willis (personal injury, Glasgow) and Lindsay Carr (residential property, Dundee) have been promoted from associate to senior associate.
Three solicitors have made the step up to associate: Paige Burton (family, Edinburgh), Sean McEntee (employment, Edinburgh) and Erin Peoples (residential property, Dundee).
