Aberdeen Law Project appoints new members
Antonia Andison, Catriona Dee, Jamie Grainger, Luigi Mazi and Caitlin Pryde have joined the Aberdeen Law Project’s (ALP) representation team following a competitive application process.
They are currently completing ALP’s training programme and will begin assisting with client matters later this quarter.
Jamie Murphy, director of representation, said: “We use Probonoskills.com and a series of specialised group training sessions to give the new members of the team the grounding they need to start helping clients with the guidance of their supervisor. Working on live client matters can be daunting, and our training gives the members the opportunity to build their confidence and skills to make a difference in the community.”
Catriona Dee, representation member, commented: “The training has strengthened my ability to interact with clients and research the law. I’m very excited to make the most of my time in the representation team and start applying these skills to advising and representing those with legal issues in the near future.”
Victorie-Anne Gomez-Llorens, co-student director, said: “I was particularly impressed with Antonia, Catriona, Jamie, Luigi and Caitlin. They are driven, personable and keen to do all they can to help. The representation team provides a vital service, and I have every confidence that the new additions to the team will be real assets to it in the months and years ahead.”
