Aberdeen law student dies in halls
A law student at Aberdeen University was found dead in her halls last week, reports The Press and Journal.
Emily Drouet could not be saved by emergency services who were called to Hillhead accommodation on Don Street on Friday.
Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding Ms Drouet’s death.
Head of the law school Ann-Michelle Slater circulated an email amongst students that read: “It is with deep sadness that I have learned this morning of the death of Emily Drouet, who was in her first year.
“Our sincere condolences go to Emily’s family and friends, and our thoughts are with them at this very difficult time.”
She added: “I know that this sad news will be very upsetting for Emily’s friends at the school.
“I have alerted my colleagues here, so that we can offer support through personal tutors and teaching teams, in addition to that available from student support services in the hub, halls of residence and university chaplaincies.”
