Aberdein Considine appoints solicitor advocate Carly Stewart as associate
Aberdein Considine has announced the appointment of solicitor advocate Carly Stewart as an associate in the firm’s dispute resolution team.
It follows the firm’s appointment last year of litigation expert Euan McSherry to lead the dispute resolution practice group.
Ms Stewart, who has 15 years’ experience, joined the firm from Clyde & Co, qualifying as a solicitor advocate in 2011.
As a solicitor advocate, Ms Stewart has rights of audience in both the Court of Session and the UK Supreme Court, and specialises in civil litigation.
Much of her career has been spent in Aberdeen, advising oil and gas related clients as well as those in the construction industry; however, she has also developed extensive experience within the insurance sector, involving property damage claims, employers’ liability and public liability.
Commenting on her appointment, Mr McSherry said: “Carly brings a wealth of experience and technical knowledge in the field of litigation and we’re delighted she is joining our growing team.
“With continued uncertainty ahead of us, firms in all sectors are increasingly looking for guidance on how to protect and grow their businesses. Carly’s appointment adds to the expertise which we already have in the Group and ensures we are well equipped to support our clients when and where they need us.”
