Adam McKinlay welcomed to Axiom Advocates
Axiom Advocates has welcomed new member Adam McKinlay, who called to the bar today.
Prior to calling to the bar, Mr McKinlay practised in Brodies LLP’s dispute resolution department for seven years. He qualified as a solicitor advocate in July 2015. He has appeared regularly in that capacity in the Court of Session and Sheriff Court and has also appeared in the Supreme Court.
His instructions as solicitor advocate covered a wide range of practice areas including: professional negligence, construction, commercial contracts and commercial property. He was Lord Reid Scholar 2017-18.
As a solicitor, Mr McKinlay gained extensive experience of acting in professional negligence claims on behalf of solicitors, surveyors, accountants, IFAs, brokers, architects and construction professionals. Completing the CII Diploma in Insurance in 2014 enhanced his insurance industry knowledge and has considerable experience as a solicitor in high value and complex disputes and mediation.
Alastair Duncan QC, director of Axiom, said: “Axiom is delighted to welcome Adam to the stable given his experience and areas of expertise within our core areas. We wish him every success with his career at the bar”.
