Alex Salmond to deliver inaugural Thomas Muir lecture tonight

Former First Minister Alex Salmond MP will deliver the inaugural Thomas Muir lecture tonight as part of a series of events to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the pioneering Scottish advocate who was transported to Australia for the advocacy of democratic rights.
The Thomas Muir Memorial Lecture will take place tonight, Monday 24 August 2015, (7pm for 7.30pm) at St Mary’s Cathedral, Palmerston Place, Edinburgh.
