Alexander Green appointed President for the First-tier Tribunal, General Regulatory Chamber

Alexander Green has been appointed President of the First-tier Tribunal for Scotland, General Regulatory Chamber.

Mr Green, a graduate of St Andrews and Aberdeen universities, qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales in 1993 and in Scotland in 1995.

He was a partner in an international law firm until 2006, when he established his own solicitors’ practice, which he ran until 2018.

He sits as a fee paid judge in the Employment Tribunal (England & Wales) and the First Tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Tribunal). He is also the procurator fiscal for the Court of the Lord Lyon and is an experienced mediator.

He previously worked as a tutor for the Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Practice for Robert Gordon University and as a committee member for paralegal registration in Scotland with the Law Society of Scotland Standing Committee for Registered Paralegal. He was an external examiner for the Solicitors Regulation Authority assigned to the University of Law.
