Alison Tyler promoted to partner at Clyde & Co
Clyde & Co has announced the promotion of Alison Tyler to partner as part of its 2024 promotions round.
Ms Tyler has been with the firm since 2011, following the merger with Simpson & Marwick, where she trained. She has 15 years’ experience in representing insurer, commercial and public sector clients, mainly in the Court of Session and All Scotland Personal Injury Court.
She has a particular interest in employers’ liability, public liability and road traffic claims, and also runs a niche practice in judicial review proceedings, acting mainly for public bodies.
She said: “Clyde & Co’s catastrophic and large loss practice group is the largest in the industry, where we are trusted across the country by general and specialist insurers, corporations, and health and public sector bodies to defend their most serious cases. As a partner, I look forward to continuing to support clients across Scotland – and beyond – and building on our reputation as market leaders.”
Vikki Melville, managing partner in Scotland said: “At Clyde & Co, we are committed to retaining and nurturing the best legal talent in the market, and rewarding those who embody our values. I have had the pleasure of working alongside Ali for a long time. She is a highly talented and experienced lawyer, who has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to providing a best-in-class service for our clients. I am delighted with her well-earned promotion.”
