And finally… balls up
Confused police officers in Glasgow burst into the wrong home and ordered a bewildered young man to drop his boxers and lift up his testicles in a botched drug raid.
The Gracey family – Joe, 60; Jacqueline, 56; Anthony, 23; Andrew, 32; and Ellie, 11 – were woken by the early morning raid, which abruptly ended once officers realised they were in the wrong home.
Police Scotland later admitted its officers had attended the right house number but the wrong street, The Scotsman reports.
Anthony said: “I was fast asleep and they woke me up. They came upstairs and into my room.
“One of them said ‘drop your boxers’. I said ‘are you being serious’ but they made me do it. I felt guilty but I hadn’t done anything wrong. They made me lift up my testicles.
“I didn’t know what to think. I’ve never done anything wrong in my life. I said I was innocent but they said they’d arrest me if I didn’t shut up.”
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said the force is investigating the family’s complaint.
