The latest in a series of “Bleed for Weed” events is taking place this weekend in Rockford, Illinois, where cannabis is legal for both medicinal and recreational use.

Donors will be rewarded with a voucher for 3.5 grams of cannabis or an equivalent edible, as well as a free “Bleed for Weed” T-shirt.

It is the latest in a series of events organised as a partnership between the Rock River Valley Blood Center and Lyfe Dispensary, local TV station WIFR reports.

The two organisations’ partnership has been highly successful so far and the all-day event on Saturday 22 March is likely to be no different.
