And finally… bogus lawyer seeks lawyer

An alleged burglar who police say claimed to be a lawyer standing in his own garden was arrested in a Northern Ireland town on Saturday morning.

PSNI Banbridge used their Facebook page to share the story of a man who told cops: “I’m a lawyer. This is my house, I’m just clearing out my shed, and you may get out of my garden if you don’t have a warrant.”

They added: “That would be well and good, if he was a lawyer or if it was his house or if it wasn’t 5:30am or if we needed a warrant.”

The man was subsequently arrested by officers to be questioned about burglary and attempted burglary.
