And finally… bowled over
Police were called to a Le Creuset warehouse in England after hundreds of unruly bargain-hunters descended on a rare sale.
The two-day sale at the luxury cookware brand’s Andover, Hampshire warehouse proved unexpectedly popular, The Guardian reports.
Hundreds of cars parked around the industrial estate led to hours of traffic chaos and forced Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary to intervene.
Bargain hunters queued for hours, with one shopper saying she arrived shortly after 9am and was queuing until 2pm.
A spokesperson for Hampshire police said the force arrived at 9.45am on Saturday and left shortly before noon.
