An occult club has been knocked back from affiliation to a student union after concerns were raised that it could summon the devil onto campus.
Adelaide University Union’s clubs committee rejected the affiliation request from Adelaide University Occult Club after receiving the bizarre complaint, ABC News reports.
Club president Ashley Towner said: “Even if we did want to summon Satan, it’s not against university or union policy to do so, so it’s not really grounds to reject us.”
The club now plans to appeal the decision to the union’s board. In the meantime, it is unable to meet on university grounds.
