And finally… don’t bank on it
A bank robbery went unexpectedly awry when the alleged robbers’ getaway vehicle was stolen in the middle of their heist.
Three “armed and masked individuals” robbed a cheque-cashing shop in Commerce City, Colorado late on Saturday morning, local police said.
Police chased down and arrested two of the suspects, while the third escaped — but not by car.
“In an unexpected and ironic twist… as the trio was robbing the business… a fourth criminal stole their getaway vehicle… which may have already been stolen,” Commerce City Police Department wrote on Facebook.
“We don’t know. If we get a solid description of it, we will release that here.”
Investigations are ongoing and none of the suspects have so far been charged. Under Colorado law, armed robbers can face up to 32 years’ imprisonment.
