And finally… forgive me Father
An Orthodox priest in Russia has been relocated to a remote village in a bizarre act of punishment after his wife won a beauty pageant.
Sergei Zotov was dismissed from his post and sent to a village of just 4,000 people around 65 kilometres away.
His wife, Oksana Zotova, runs a beauty salon in his former post, the city of Magnitogorsk, and was recently named Miss Sensuality at a local pageant.
Archpriest Feodor Saprykin, chair of the diocesan court, told Komsomolskaya Pravda it is “a great sin when the wife of a priest exposes herself for show”.
The priest will not be allowed to return to Magnitogorsk “until his wife repents”, he added.
