Eugenio Ernesto Hernandez-Garnier and his female companion were removed from the aircraft at Miami airport, local media reports.

Staff were concerned about the blood on his head and the potential for contamination. But the 27-year-old refused to leave the plane. The woman, Yusleydis Blanca Loyola, told crew “if they could not fly, no one else can either”.

Police were called and told the pair they would be arrested. Loyola began live streaming the incident on TikTok before she and her partner were handcuffed and taken off the flight to Las Vegas.
