And finally… heartbreak hotel
A Swedish hotel chain has begun offering refunds to couples who get divorced within a year of staying at one of its hotels.
The Countryside Hotels group’s offer is meant to be a “relationship guarantee”, with the chain offering to reimburse the cost of a two-night stay.
Petra Fagrell Jansson, who runs of the hotels, said she isn’t worried about the offer backfiring on the company.
She told news website NWT that the trip could be just what people need to resolve their marital woes.
“Everyone needs a bit more time for their relationships and a little break from everyday life,” she said.
Anyone thinking of cashing in on the scheme should take note that couples must submit proof of divorce.
