The commercial law professor at Abertay University, sorry Aber-slay, formerly of Edinburgh Napier, said “I have very little idea what I am saying” in what is both his TikTok debut and swansong.

The video is, we are told, a ‘trend’ on the social media platform which sees people “promoting establishments like museums, hotels, design centres, sports facilities and all sorts of other places by using a presenter who speaks in Gen Z slang while clearly having no idea what any of it means – especially if the presenter has a plum in his mouth”.

From the “immaculate vibes” of the library to Annie’s Cafe, named in honour of “girlboss icon Annie Lamont” who is “slaying the house down boots”, Professor Grier takes us around the university explaining what ‘ate’ and what ‘cooked’ before performing a ‘fit check’ – no cap.
