And finally… love is in the air
A claimant was reprimanded in Dublin Circuit Civil Court after addressing the judge as “love”.
James Flynn, 46, had been addressing defence counsel Adrianne Fields as “love” but was sharply rebuked when he did the same to Judge Sarah Berkeley.
She told him: “Don’t call me love.”
Flynn then stopped using the friendly address altogether, referring to the defence counsel as “Ms Fields” for the rest of the hearing, the Irish Examiner reports.
He later withdrew his damages claim and was ordered to pay legal costs.
