A man filed for divorce because his wife thought Cristiano Ronaldo was a better footballer than Lionel Messi.

After celebrating Argentina’s victory over Nigeria on June 26, husband Arsen left his wife of 14 years, Lyudmila, as she remained adamant that the Portugal star was the better player.

Speaking to newspaper Argumenty i Fakty, the Russian man said: “She told me that from the beginning of this World Cup, Messi didn’t know how to play.

“She mocked Messi and said he couldn’t even score a penalty against Iceland.

“I could not contain myself and told her what I thought about the vain Ronaldo, the Portuguese national team and all the clubs she likes”.

He added: “Then I took my belongings and left her forever.”
