And finally… neigh bother

A long-running dispute over whether a pony was legally evicted from an ex-council house returns to the Scottish courts this week.

Stephanie Noble has challenged Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, saying that it acted wrongly when it seized her Connemara pony, Grey Lady Too.

The council faces a legal bill of more than £5,000 and has already spent over £8,000 on the pony’s upkeep, The Herald reports.

The pony was seized in February 2014 amid complaints that its living conditions were in breach of guidelines.

Ms Noble had reportedly kept the animal in the front room of her former council house.

The case will come back to Stornoway Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
