And finally… radical is-scam
A Syrian refugee has been convicted in Germany of seeking to defraud terror group Islamic State to the tune of €180,000.
Hasan A., a 39-year-old hairdresser from Damascus, now faces two years in jail for trying to persuade IS operatives to transfer him money for explosives which he had no intention of buying.
He never saw the money in the end.
Prosecutors originally sought to convict Hasan of planning to carry out terrorist attacks, but the court found that narrative unconvincing.
Both parties are appealing the judgment to the Federal Supreme Court.
