An undercover agent “disguised as a capybara” convinced the suspect to let him into his home, where a “large quantity of marijuana and cocaine” was found.

Bodycam footage published by the BBC shows the unusual police operation in action.

“On this occasion, Valentine’s Day, lover’s day, we sought to camouflage ourselves with the character of the capybara,” a police spokesperson said.

Peru’s Escuadron Verde is known for using costumes in drug raids, with officers previously disguised as superheroes including Spider-Man, Captain America, Thor and Black Widow.
