Prince King, 81, is accused by police in southern California of being a “serial slingshot shooter”, NBC News reports.

Officers say there is no apparent motive for his conduct “other than just malicious mischief”.

King allegedly broke windows and windshields with his catapult over a period of nine to 10 years, though never hit any people.

He will appear in court next week.
