And finally… yes! We have no bananas

Police checking a shipment of bananas in Valencia and Malaga were stunned to find that some of the “fruit” was really made of resin - and that 15.4 pounds of cocaine had been stuffed into the fake bananas.

According to reports, 57 fake bananas were mixed among the real fruit.

A further 22 pounds of cocaine was found hidden inside the flaps of the cardboard boxes carrying the fake fruit.

The discovery has led to a series of arrests. Two men have been charged with trafficking drugs and belonging to a criminalorganisation, while a third man is under investigation.
