Anderson, Shaw & Gilbert welcomes new solicitors
Anderson Shaw & Gilbert appointed two solicitors this week, expanding the services it offer its clients in crofting, rural law and family law.
Eilidh Ross MacLellan, returns to Inverness from practice in Skye to join the firm as an associate, and brings extensive experience of crofting and rural legal practice to the firm.
She said: “I am delighted to join the team at Anderson Shaw & Gilbert and look forward to working within a full service law firm with a strong rural and crofting client base.
“Anderson Shaw & Gilbert’s rural practice has been bolstered in recent years by its Ullapool service which continues to go from strength to strength. We intend to take our services closer to our clients across the Highlands and Islands, whilst retaining all the benefits of a long established, efficient and high profile base in the Highland Capital itself.”
Elise Thomson, an experienced family law solicitor rejoins the firm as an associate in the family law department. As well as being an experienced litigator, she is also a qualified collaborative professional, offering clients, where possible, a divorce process free from animosity.
She said: “It is a pleasure to return to Anderson Shaw and Gilbert with new opportunities to expand the practice. There is a great team both in the firm and also in wider family law practice in the Highlands and I am looking forward to being part of that again. After practising in Glasgow, I have returned to the firm with more experience and knowledge which I will use for the benefit of our clients.”
Welcoming both solicitors to the firm, Fred Kelly, a director of Anderson Shaw & Gilbert said: “Both Elise and Eilidh are well known and respected in their areas of practice in the Highlands and across Scotland. They bring a breadth of experience to Anderson Shaw & Gilbert which will be valued by our clients and will strengthen the firm as it continues to grow and adapt to its clients’ needs.”
