Anderson Strathern achieves double gold accolade
Anderson Strathern has achieved the double success of Investors in Young People and Investors in People Gold accreditations. It is the first law firm to achieve this double gold accolade and is among the top six organisations to achieve it in Scotland overall.
Investors in Young People is the only people management standard that focuses on an employer’s recruitment and retention of young people. This represents a commitment to the training and development of young people and confirms Anderson Strathern as an employer of choice for young people.
Retaining Gold level Investors in People accreditation, which the firm has held since 2011, puts Anderson Strathern in the top 12 per cent of all IIP accredited organisations.
The recent accolades follow the firm winning Employer of the Year at the 2016 Scottish Legal Awards.
Commenting on the Gold accreditation, Robert Carr, chair of Anderson Strathern said: “I am incredibly proud to lead a team of really great people. Anderson Strathern has always valued the input of every one of its people. It has reaped the rewards of investing in them to maximise their potential and make the firm the success it is today.”
Peter Russian, chief executive of Investors in People Scotland, said: “Investors in People Scotland has had the privilege of working with Anderson Strathern for many years and we are delighted that they have achieved both IIP Gold and IIYP Gold, making them the first law firm in Scotland to do so.
“To achieve the Investors in People Gold accreditation or the Investors in Young People Gold accreditation is a fabulous achievement its own right. But to accomplish both is a real testament to the commitment that Anderson Strathern has to its people.”
