Anderson Strathern marks two new public sector client wins

Anderson Strathern has marked the start of 2016 with two major public sector client wins following competitive tender processes under the Scottish Government Framework for Legal Services. Anderson Strathern is one of only two firms appointed to the legal panel for all six lots under the new framework, giving it the opportunity to take part in competitive tenders for work across all government areas covered by the framework.Under the first of the appointments, the firm will represent and advise theScottish Prison Service (SPS) on all employment, litigation and inquiries for the next three years. This is a re-appointment following an earlier contract under the previous government framework.

Managing partner and client lead Murray McCall said: “The Scottish Prison Service is an important public body which seeks to make Scotland safer by protecting the public and reducing reoffending. We are delighted with this appointment and look forward to helping SPS meet its objectives over the next three years.”

The firm has also been successful in being appointed to provide external legal services to Transport Scotland’s property team. Transport Scotland is the national transport agency for Scotland. This is a new appointment for the firm.
