Anderson Strathern solicitors awarded top marks in STEP exams
Two of Anderson Strathern’s private client solicitors have been awarded Worldwide Excellence Awards from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Laura Murray achieved the best grade across all four papers in the Scottish Trust and Executry Accounting exam and was the highest-scoring graduate across all four papers in the STEP Diploma in Scotland, while Nick Dobbs excelled in the Scottish Wills and Executries Law & Practice exam.
STEP is the international professional association for practitioners dealing with family inheritance and succession planning and spans 56 countries with more than 20,000 members. The excellence awards recognise the top-scoring students at distinction level in each of its exams worldwide, with the exams leading to becoming a full member of STEP.
Carole Tomlinson, head of private client, said: “These exams are designed to identify the future stars of our industry, they illustrate the technical knowledge and skill of each and every award winner, and I’m very proud to be able to say that two of our team members have had their excellence highlighted in these awards.
“It’s wonderful to see Laura and Nick making such significant professional progress. We wholeheartedly believe that our people are our greatest asset, and Laura and Nick are clearly both tremendous assets for the firm and for our clients, who value the combination of great technical skills with a warm personal approach. I’m delighted for them both.”
