Anderson Strathern to host Arts and Law Conference
Anderson Strathern has partnered with Visiting Arts to host their Arts & Law Conference on 23rd August 2016. The event has been arranged to take place during the Edinburgh Festival and it aims to bring together professionals from across the arts and legal sectors. The Arts is a core part of Anderson Strathern’s creative & future industries sector group.
Douglas McLachlan, an intellectual property lawyer at Anderson Strathern and speaker at the event, said: “As Edinburgh once again takes centre stage in August as the artistic and cultural capital of the world, I’m looking forward to speaking about intellectual property and its fundamental importance to the creative industries.”
The conference is aimed at cultural managers/ producers, artists and legal practitioners from across Scotland, the UK and internationally. The event will address the legal implications of international work and collaboration, intellectual property, and art in a digital landscape.
There will be a chance to meet and connect with professionals in both fields, and an opportunity to inquire about the many legal issues faced by those working in artistic and cultural industries.
