Andrea Fraser raises funds for Gaza

Ms Fraser, who cycled solo from Ukraine to Edinburgh to raise money for maternity equipment for Ukraine in 2022, will now be swimming/dipping in cold water for 84 days to raise funds to buy a device that turns dirty seawater into drinking water, using solar power.

Once purchased, the device will be taken into Gaza where it will be capable of producing up to 50L of clean drinking water per hour.

Ms Fraser said: “Having just returned from Gaza (where I am involved in managing aid projects in my spare time), I understand all too well how scarce clean drinking water is – and both humans and animals are suffering as a result not just from dehydration but also from parasitic disease and water-born illnesses.”
