Ashurst reduces partners’ monthly drawings by 20 per cent
Partners at Ashurst, which has an office in Glasgow, will have their monthly drawings reduced by 20 per cent to ensure the firm’s financial resilience throughout the pandemic.
The move is part of the firm’s Stronger Together programme, which covers all 16 offices around the world and affects all staff.
Employees will be asked to adopt an 80 per cent work pattern for the three months to May 1, with a corresponding reduction in pay.
The firm will also defer salary reviews for the 2020/21 financial year to November 1, while bonuses will be paid at 50 per cent in July and again in November.
Staff that cannot work remotely will be furloughed. Ashurst said it is availing itself of the scheme so it can retain all staff as it has no intention of making redundancies for the foreseeable future.
