Thorntons has expanded its senior team in Fife with the appointment of Audrey Dishington as a partner. A specialist in private client work – with significant expertise in succession planning, taxation, trusts, charity law and adults with incapacity – her arrival bolsters the firm’s legal offerings in these practice areas across Fife.Ms Dishington has spent the past 21 years at Pagan Osborne, the last three as the board member responsible for the leadership, client and business development, and performance delivery of all of its legal teams.Craig Nicol, joint managing partner at Thorntons, said: “Audrey is a highly-respected specialist, with a great deal of experience in dealing with a broad range of legal issues. She has exactly the sort of skills and knowledge that will enable us to enhance the service we can offer to our private clients both in St Andrews, the East Neuk and across Fife as a whole.

Ms Dishington initially joined Pagan Osborne in 1996 to run its lettings department, before embarking on a law degree. She said: “I am looking forward to assisting in the development of Thorntons’ private client business in St Andrews and the East Neuk.
“I have watched the firm’s growth in recent years, but what has impressed me most has been its commitment to the development of its people and enhancement of its offering to clients.
