Austin Lafferty Solicitors expands with new office

Partner and director Austin Lafferty told Scottish Legal News that the firm has “secured a premier unit and location within the coveted Ayr Road shops in Newton Mearns”.

He said: “We are still fitting out but already finding the expansion has caused a local buzz, with new business being booked already. As well as the additional space, 118 Ayr Road is a hub for property transactions. There are nine estate agents on the one block, and we intend to be the go-to conveyancers for as many of the buyers and sellers as possible.”

He added: “I believe the high street solicitor profession is thriving. You need to be well organised, good with IT and have a clear strategy. My partner John Roberts is brilliant on marketing, business development and infrastructure, and over the last few years he has overseen expansion of our East Kilbride office to four adjoining offices, and purchase of a spanking new office in Hamilton.

“We hope to be open in early August at Ayr Road.”
