Award-winning paralegal to address Scottish conference
Awarding-winning paralegal Mark Harris will be among the experts addressing next week’s Scottish Paralegal Association Conference.
The specialist executry paralegal, who was named Scotland’s Paralegal of the Year at the Scott + Co Scottish Legal Awards this year,
will discuss aspects of the Inheritance Tax Act 1984, with particular reference to the interaction of Exemptions and Allowances.
Edinburgh-born, Mr Harris began working in a law firm at 19 and just a year later embarked on studies for The Society of Law Accountants in Scotland Diploma, alongside his full-time job.
He gained his diploma in 1988 and since then has focused on the administration of trusts and executry estates, an often complex and demanding area of the law.
Mr Harris will host the session at the conference in Glasgow’s Grand Central Hotel on April 21.
