Mr McWhirter joins from Brodies LLP and is looking forward to developing his practice. He has experience in commercial disputes including contractual, construction and professional negligence disputes. He also has particular expertise in intellectual property, technology and media law building up a substantial knowledge of the law in relation to intellectual property rights and has advised many well-known brands on infringement, validity and ownership of intellectual property.

Mr Blair joins Axiom from Anderson Strathern where he gained considerable experience in the healthcare, public and regulatory fields. His practice will focus on public law matters given his experience of judicial review and statutory appeals to the Court of Session. He maintained a busy practice of medical negligence and assisted with property and construction disputes. He also has a specialist interest in professional disciplinary law.
